Yes, there IS a soothing waterfall in Wayne—it is located in the upstairs level of AME Salon and Spa. With six treatment rooms, up to six guests can enjoy at least two services during a spa party, like Rest on Water, which includes a full body scrub, hydrotherapy and ends with a hot mud, tea or body butter wrap. AME also has two relaxation areas, one of which is an enclosed second-level porch where guests can rest their feet on an ottoman and enjoy a variety of complimentary beverages, snacks and seasonal fruit. “Guests also love our third floor loft, which is available for up to three guests for side-by-side massages,” says Cathleen Helmuth, business development director.
While lunch is not available at AME, the salon does provide suggestions to their favorite local restaurants in Wayne. Guests may also bring their own bottle of wine and champagne, but the salon does ask their guests to limit it to one glass per guest. “Our spa party guests are left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and connected,” says Helmuth.

Book a spa party at Bad Hair Day? Salon & Spa and choose one of the spa’s custom packages or just one or two services you really want—either way, flexibility is the name of the game. While food and drink is not provided, guests are allowed to bring it with them. “We set up a table with flowers and their party name on it so it’s a nice feature,” says Sara Kolobielski, the director of marketing and the wedding and events coordinator. The average price and length of the party depends on the number of people and the number of services each woman wants. The spa can accommodate parties as small as four to as large as 12. “We are very accommodating—we have even added services to parties the day of,” says Kolobielski.

The studio can comfortably hold up to nine people, and even has a serene outside deck. Choose from a customized menu of services, including facials, massages, body treatments, manicures and pedicures. Bridal parties have the option to get food catered from chef Dan Butler’s Italian restaurant, Toscana To Go. It’s a happy occasion and the salon feels that the end result is something the entire bridal party will love,” says Angela Galieti, salon and spa director.

The ultimate destination for luxury and customer service, the Richel D’Ambra Spa & Salon at the Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia will leave everyone in your party feeling relaxed and pampered. The spa is extremely flexible—there is no minimum or maximum number of guests required. If the group is large enough, the spa can be rented out for the day. The most popular services are the massages, but there are hair and makeup lessons, too. “We also offer Tibetan bowl massages and angel card readings,” says owner Richel D’Ambra. Everyone enjoys a glass of champagne, and the hotel can provide any additional food and beverages.
The best part about the spa and salon is everything is customizable. “We give options from doing 30 minute to 80 minute treatments depending on budget. I always recommend to come in the day after going out for an evening of dinner or partying,” says D’Ambra.
